Raccoon River Valley Trail - This premier trail in central Iowa - now 56 miles from Jefferson to Waukee -  will soon become 89 miles, once the 33 mile north loop through Perry and Dawson is completed! We're lucky to be close to the trail towns of Dawson and Cooper.

Offenburger.com - Owners of Simple Serenity Farm, an acreage near the Raccoon River Valley Trail in Cooper, the Offenburgers give you all the newsworthy scoop on Greene County and Iowa - from the perspective of seasoned journalists who love all the things that make Iowa such a great place.

Two Barn Farm- They bought an acreage with two barns and plan to convert one into their home.  Rich, Reagan and their son Mason moved from Colorado to Iowa after riding RAGBRAI through Iowa.  And, now they are roasting and selling their own brand of coffee called Greene Bean Coffee!  Check out their story and progress.

Greene County Community Foundation
- This non-profit foundation distributes grants to local non-profits groups who make this county the special place it is.

Creating Great Places  - This non-profit organization is working on building an extension of the RRVT from Herndon to Coon Rapids.  It is also the lead institution organizing the state-wide 2009 “Khrushchev in Iowa” commemoration and leads planning for the Coon Rapids-Whiterock Great Place Initiative.

Whiterock Conservancy- Whiterock Conservancy currently stewards a 5,400-acre property using economic and environmental sustainability as their guiding principles. Their practices include Oak Savanna restoration and native prairie renovations.  The conservancy offers many recreational opportunities open to the public, including over 30-miles of dirt trails that run throughout the property.
