IN FULL BLOOM

I was told by local garden enthusiasts that "Inspiration Gardens" in Rippey was a must-see.  So, I decided it was high time I paid Janice and Dick Schlicht's place a visit. 

What I saw was a wonderful surprise surrounded by corn and bean fields.  I expected to see a beautiful garden.  I didn't expect to see what I saw - plot after plot of a wide variety of beautiful garden scenes!  Every turn I made on my tour brought a new lush colorful view of Janice's labor of love.  There were seating areas - some with ponds - for relaxation and reflection.  Charming vignettes showcased special family tributes or Dick's humorous touches.  Small buildings were converted into welcoming rooms for groups to enjoy a meal or just sit and chat. 

Words fail when trying to describe what only a photo can convey.  So I won't try.  Please enjoy a few photos of my summer's visit to "Inspiration Gardens."
